Training Tip: Rosin

To rosin or not to rosin?

Our answer: who really cares!

Some people think that if you need to use a lot of rosin to maintain a solid grip in the air, your grip is weak and you need to put in some work to wean yourself off. While I am all for training your grip strength (it's kind of important!), I say do what feels best for YOU. We live in Canada, where the air gets cold and dry for, like, more than half the year. If I lived in Costa Rica, I might be more likely to say lay off the stuff.

Generally, use the smallest amount necessary to boost your grip and keep you safe. Consider rosin-free training days for an occasional or weekly challenge! If you're aiming to perform, you want to train for all conditions, so rosin-free days are a smart idea.

Unless that's the case though, or you have something to prove (to yourself, mainly), don't worry about it!

Happy Training!
