Balancing

Making the transition from balancing on your own to balancing with a partner is more difficult than you think!

When you balance on pegs or the floor, you do all the work yourself, making tiny adjustments throughout your hands and body to stay upright.

When you balance with a partner, the base (person on the bottom) makes the adjustments. Your job as the flyer (the one leaving the ground) is to hit your position and hold it.

If you don't trust your base to make the adjustments, you both end up working against each other as you try to make the same adjustments at the same time.

Britt is an excellent hand balancer, but she's used to doing all the work herself! This was her first time working with Erick during one of our instructor training jams. Awesome first try!!! 👏 🙂
